I love this bag and I would like to bid on it!
I am returning to school this year to complete my education in disabilities studies. For those of you who don't know what this means it is the Study of the Social Model of Disabilities and this will subsequently help to reduce the oppression of the disabled in our society.
For example how many of you today said - "that is Retarded" or " you are such a spaz" Most of you said this without even thinking about how this is a slur against people with disabilities. You would never think to make fun of someone based on their skin colour, age or gender. BUT not even 60 years ago women could not vote, black people could not sit at the front of the bus and after 911 muslim people are often still not looked at in a fond light.
By returning to school to join the disabilities rights movement this will continue my career and hopefully provide me with the tools to create equality for all people not just the privileged few.
